How Does the Hypothalamus Keep Your Body Healthy and Functioning?
The hypothalamus is one of the most important keys to the healthy functioning of every system of our body. This is because it is the director of chemicals or hormones for the entire body. When the hypothalamus and thalamus are blocked in receiving information from the body, insufficient hormones are produced for the blocked areas. Acupressure is then necessary to restore communication pathways of meridian energy from the body to the brain. It is similar to having a perfectly good printer with the lights on, yet the poor connection to the computer keeps the printer from receiving messages. How can the liver or thyroid function properly if there is no communication from the brain to the liver or no communication from the brain to the thyroid?
Your body is run by proper chemical balance. Chemical balance (hormone balance) is produced and run by the endocrine system. The hypothalamus directs the endocrine system to make hormones the body needs. The hypothalamus is a part of the brain that includes some endocrine tissue (hormone producing tissue). This master gland gathers information from the collective brain, and then directs the endocrine system through the pineal and pituitary glands to send needed hormones throughout the entire body. For example, if you have stomach problems, it is important to boost the energy of the hypothalamus and the other endocrines that support the stomach. Without proper energy and hormones the stomach cannot function properly.
Keep the process simple when working to restore energy.
To support the flow of energy, use a drop or two of Meridian Oil and massage it into the points or areas as directed in the following charts.
- Place Meridian Oil on the hypothalamus point. This point is found on the middle of the big toe pad on each foot. By stimulation of the hypothalamus point on either left or right big toe, energy is opened from your toes to your brain. One of the most effective methods to stimulate any acupressure point is to massage with your fingertips, not finger pads.
- Now, you are ready to address many issues through energy transfer. For example, you may choose to stimulate the hypothalamus point on the big toe along with any meridian point of any organ or system at the same time. Keep this simple. When you touch the hypothalamus point and the stomach meridian point or area at the same time, energy is increased from the brain to the stomach or any other area you choose to strengthen.
